The company Deutsche Telekom Technik GmbH is a 100 percent subsidiary of Telekom Deutschland GmbH and provides the nationwide technical infrastructure of the group. Around 19,000 employees at DT Technik plan, design, build and operate the facilities and systems of the technical infrastructure nationwide on behalf of Telekom Deutschland GmbH.
The company implements network projects, operates the network technology and, if necessary, takes over the maintenance of the technical infrastructure.
The Tribe Voice & Messaging is responsible for the design, development, planning, validation and operation of all voice and messaging platforms in DT Technik's fixed and mobile network over their entire lifecycle. We provide innovative, reliable state-of-the-art services to our cellular- and landline-based customers.
The scope of a current program is to bring voice & messaging applications into the cloud. We’ll change the today’s model of separated fixed and mobile systems and merge them. That’s why we want you on our team.
Activity description and concrete tasks:
You will support the project team in the integration, validation and rollout of security patches;
Additionally you will support the project team in the daily evaluation of security scans, open / update tickets with vendors, take part in regular security meetings with vendors;
You will perform quality assurance testing, rollout and approval for release of security patches in the lab;
You will plan and carry out validation and rollout in the live systems;
You will assist with project-specific infrastructure activities;
Must have:
You are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:
- General knowledge of DevOps technologies and tools (e.g. Gitlab, Test Automation (min. basic knowledge);
- Experienced knowledge of Linux, Openstack
- Willingness to learn and acquire cloud native/Kubernetes (Cloud Booster) skills if not already present;
- Willingness to participate in On-Call duties outside of normal work hours, if necessary;
Nice to have skills:
- Experience with ticketing systems;
- Experience in analysing and fixing security flaws as pertaining to OS would be helpful;
- ITIL knowledge / experience
- Basic IMS knowledge with relevant communication protocols (e.g. SIP and RTP) and Telecommunications Industry experience preferred
- Understanding German would be helpful (optional)
